Places we love in Nashville

BEYOND BROADWAY

In the heart of Tennessee, the city of Nashville has long been synonymous with the vibrant energy of Broadway's neon-lit honky-tonk scene. But as the sun sets on the Cumberland River, a new revelation is sweeping through both locals and visitors alike: Nashville's true charm and allure extend far beyond the dazzling lights of its iconic entertainment district. Welcome to an insider's guide, where we unveil the hidden gems, the soulful corners, and the pulsating heartbeats of a city that refuses to be defined by a single melody. Join us as we journey through the tapestry of Nashville's diverse neighborhoods, exploring its enchanting restaurants that tantalize taste buds, bars that pour stories as much as they do drinks, venues that resonate with history, and festivals that capture the essence of this vibrant cultural hub. This is a celebration of the Nashville that often goes unsung, a harmony of experiences that compose the symphony of a city on the rise. So, let the notes of exploration begin, and let's uncover the myriad rhythms and flavors that make Nashville a destination beyond compare.

Restaurants

Some of our favorites…

  • 5th & Taylor - Germantown

    • At 5th & Taylor, Chef Daniel Lindley's culinary tribute to American family meals awaits. This historic Germantown restaurant blends classic flavors with contemporary flair. Inspired by General Francis Nash, its design exudes a welcoming, residential vibe with an open kitchen and a serene enclosed patio.

  • Answer - Sylvan Park

    • Nestled in Sylvan Park, answer. is a culinary haven crafted by two passionate industry experts. This cozy setting beckons guests to connect over globally inspired, hyper-seasonal cuisine. Chef Chris Raucci's innovative twist on classic dishes draws from a mosaic of cultures.

  • Redheaded Stranger - East Nashville

    • If you're in East Nashville and craving tacos, I highly recommend you pay a visit to Redheaded Stranger. This hidden gem is a neighborhood taco shop that serves up fresh and delicious tacos, mouthwatering brisket, and the unforgettable kick of Hatch green chiles. It's the go-to spot for Southwestern-inspired culinary delights.

BARs + Nightlife

Some of our go-to’s…

  • Bastion - WeHo

    • Bastion has two sides to enjoy: A casual cocktail bar that is open to the public, and a 24-seat restaurant requiring reservations. The bar is always playing great, underground music and the specialty cocktails are all amazing. Similarly, the restaurant is unreal. You have to book a while in advance so we recommend going for a celebratory meal.

  • Greenhouse Bar - Green Hills

    • Greenhouse is nestled in the heart of Green Hills and has been a local staple for as long as we can remember. Everyone loves it because it’s actually a living greenhouse, adorned with hundreds of thriving plants throughout. Food and drink quality are both amazing and the hospitality is even better. We recommend the grilled cheese with tomato soup and fruit tea (add vodka if you’d like).

  • L.A. Jackson - The Gulch

    • L.A. Jackson is the indoor/ outdoor rooftop bar of the Thompson Hotel, in the center of the vibrant Gulch. It has an amazing view of Nashville- we recommend going at sunset. It’s a little on the pricier side but the drinks and food are amazing. Get the espresso martini.

When you need some fresh air…

  • Warner Parks

    • Edwin and Percy Warner Parks, collectively known as “The Warner Parks,” span more than 3,100 acres of forest and field, 9 miles from downtown Nashville. Our favorite trails to run are the White Trail, in Belle Meade and the Red Trail by Vaughn’s Gap. If you like road biking, the 5.8-mile paved loop is one of Elizabeth’s personal favorites and if you want a little more, go for the 11.2. The park also offers mountain biking trails and horse trails, golf courses, and so much more.

  • Radnor Lake

    • Radnor Lake is a 1367-acre natural area located in Davidson County approximately eight miles south of downtown. It’s readily accessible to Nashville’s urban population and provides more than six miles of hiking trails, including the Ganier Ridge trail, which we love. Note: You aren’t allowed to run on the trails around Radnor Lake because it’s a heavily protected wildlife habitat but Ganier Ridge is so steep you probably won’t want to. There is also a flat trail that goes around the entire lake if you’re up for something more relaxing.
